Eligible candidate should be in a role where they directly shape BD or marketing strategy rather than mainly executing tasks:

  • A current senior role. For example head of BD, director, senior manager, or equivalent leadership position within a law firm or professional services organisation.
  • Responsibility for people. Leading a team or having line management responsibility, even if the team is small.
  • Strategic involvement. Active participation in firmwide or practice group strategy, planning, budgeting, or decision making.
  • Proven track record. Clear evidence of delivering long term BD or marketing impact, such as shaping programmes, driving growth, or improving key processes.
  • Influence across the firm. Regular interaction with partners and senior leadership, not only operational work.
  • ⁠Contribution to the wider profession. Speaking engagements, mentoring, committee work, writing, or supporting the development of others.
  • Commitment to continuous learning. A willingness to share knowledge, learn from peers, and contribute to the Leadership Circle community.
